At Deerfoot Thomas Photography, we believe in transparency when it comes to our pricing structure. As an experienced portrait and wedding photographer in the Midwest, I have carefully crafted our session prices to reflect the quality of service and expertise that we provide to our clients. Each session is meticulously planned and executed to ensure a personalized and memorable experience for every individual or group we work with.
Our prices are not just a reflection of the time spent behind the camera, but also the countless hours dedicated to post-processing, editing, and perfecting each image to meet our high standards. A typical hour of shooting time comes with at least two hours of post-processing, half an hour of travel, and half an hour in customer communication which adds up to a total of four hours per one hour of shoot time.
We also invest in top-of-the-line equipment and continue to hone our skills through ongoing training and education to deliver exceptional results to our clients. I have invested over $3000 in camera bodies and lenses, at least $300 in SD cards (but honestly, probably more), over $100 annually for my editing software, and $2000 in education to enhance your client experience.
By pricing our sessions the way we do, we are able to sustain our business, compensate for our time and expertise, and continually improve the services we offer. We understand that professional photography is an investment, and we strive to provide value that goes beyond just capturing moments – we aim to create memories that last a lifetime.

Our current couples and engagement sessions start at $250 for up to 45 minutes of session time.
What to Expect with a Boudoir Photo Session

Lauren will discuss your vision in consultation calls beforehand, ensuring that you feel at ease throughout the shoot. Whether you're aiming for a glamorous, sensual look or a more subtle, intimate feel, we will work together to capture your unique beauty. Expect a private setting where you can relax and express yourself freely. Our photographer will provide guidance on poses and styling to showcase your best features.
Overall, a boudoir photo session with us is a chance to embrace your confidence and celebrate your individuality through stunning images. Our current boudoir sessions start at $400 for up to 60 minutes of session time in a private studio.
What to Expect with a Wedding Photographer
When you book a wedding with us, you can expect a professional and friendly photographer who will work closely with you to capture every precious moment. Before the big day, we will discuss your vision, preferences, and any specific shots you want to prioritize. On the day of the session, our photographer will arrive early, fully prepared to immortalize your special day. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for capturing emotion, Lauren will document all the significant moments, from exchange of vows to the joyous celebrations. Our current wedding packages start at $1500 for 6 hours of coverage and a complimentary engagement or bridal session. Our extra hours option allows you to extend your photography services effortlessly. The second shooter add-on will provide additional angles to ensure your special moments aren’t forgotten. With our flexible add-on services, you can personalize your photography package to perfectly suit your needs.
